international relations and organizations

hi there!! i am hoping this september to start studying international relations and organizations at the universtiy of groningen, in the netherlands. it's pretty encompasing course dealing with politics, law, business, economy, and languages. there is only one school in holland that offers this particular program so it is not that easy to make it into the school. now that my high school education has been varified as sufficient to study this program i am in a draw. the university randomly selects 220 students per year to enter the program. last year around 340 were the draw. that means that if the program is as popular this year as last that i have approximately a 65% chance of making it in. let's hope i do!!!!

terug naar tershelling (back to terschelling)

i am back on terschelling until at least the beginning of september (end of august). i lived and worked here last summer as well, for my aunt and uncle in a restaurant. my close friend rachelle (also from canada) was here, but she couldn't make it this year. :( however it still is great fun. i get to improve my dutch, make friends and live on a island where everything i could want is a 15 min. bike ride away.

it's been a while

it's been a while since i've last blogged. i am back in holland, to work for the summer and hopefully i get accepted into university. i hear back from them on the 15th of july.

today is friday

sometimes life is hard and it doesn't go your way, but happiness is a choice.

i leave ottawa and my brother (which is very sad) for vancouver my home, there are mixed feelings but i have decided that today i will be happier than a bird with a french fry.

i hope you all have a terrific st. paddy's day today. it is bright and sunny in ottawa, but i'm in a house full of sick people so there won't be much partying here. hoping to enjoy some baileys and maybe some other refreshments with my brother and his wife this evening. i leave on friday to go back to vancouver, it all went by so fast. trying to treasure every last moment here...
